York Marriott are currently looking for an individual who has an excellent eye to detail, is highly organised and has a passion for working in housekeeping to join them as a Guest Room Attendant on a casual basis. The successful candidate will be working alongside a great team of room attendants and will be reporting to the Head Housekeeper.
Requirements
The ideal Room Attendant will possess great communication skills, have the ability to work using their own initiative, and be an effective self motivator. The successful Room Attendant will be able to work under pressure, speak English fluently and meet deadlines and targets. Previous experience in a housekeeping role would be advantageous, but not essential.
Responsibilities
1) Each Room Attendant must ensure they swipe in and out of work every day, as well as for their lunch breaks.2) Pick up assignment sheet to fill up your trolley and key/swipe card in the Housekeeping office at 8.30am (9.30am on Sundays and Bank holidays).3) The room key/swipe card is to be signed in/out on the key log sheet in housekeeping office. Under no circumstances is the key/swipe card to be lent to anyone and is the sole responsibility of the room attendant.4) Make sure you have a Reject Linen bag attached to your trolley to keep separate from dirty linen.5) Rooms with a ?Do not disturb' card should not be knocked or entered. The supervisor will call the guest at 12pm if the card is still on the door. 6) Dirty linen is to be kept off the corridors and placed in your linen trolley.7) To report any damaged, missing items and maintenance faults by filling out a maintenance slip and following the correct procedures.8) Any guest property found in a departure rooms should be placed in a clear bag, with a label inserted in the bag with details.9) All rooms must be cleaned to Marriott standards ? Refer to SOP10) Renew any guest supplies to the correct level.11) Carry out other duties as required, ensuring the hotel operation is properly maintained to provide total guest satisfaction.12) If you finish cleaning your rooms early go and help a colleague.13) Any guest laundry found in occupied rooms should be brought to the Housekeeping Office to be logged.14) All room service trays and trolleys must be removed from the guestrooms and the corridors.15) Before going off shift, trolley should be restocked, cleaned and put away.Cleaning bucket cleaned out and filled up chemical bottles.Return the list and keys to the HK office at 3.30pm (4.30pm on Sundays and Bank holidays).16) Adhere to the hotel fire, health and safety regulations.
